本金箔同様、気温や湿度など厳しい環境下においても変色しない高級箔。金銀の古い歴史に比べればプラチナを使い始めたのは近年の話。変色しないため銀に替わってよく使われるようになりました。銀より高価なため高級ブティックなどでよく使われています。

As same as a gold leaf, a platinum leaf is the fine leaf that does not discolor even in harsh environments such as high temperature or humidity. There is no long history of using platinum in the industry comparing to gold or silver. However, now it is often used instead of silver because of its non-discoloration in such environments. It has been commonly used in such high-end boutiques because of the high price.
