歴清社で働く人々は、個々がクリエイターであると自負しています。もちろん、箔を押し特殊な紙を作るという作業には熟練した技術が求められますし、それぞれがそのスペシャリストでないと成り立ちません。しかし、ただそれだけを突き詰めているだけかというとそれは違います。それぞれが常に想像力を働かせ、何か新しいことはできないかと自由に模索する。ファッションや電化製品など、異素材・異業種とのコラボレーションにも力を注ぐ。平均年齢が30歳半ばと、メーカーの中では目立って低いのもその現れです。世界に誇れる日本の美意識と伝統を誇りに思いながら、既成の枠にとらわれず柔軟に。創業100年を経ても挑戦を忘れない姿勢もまた、歴清社の強みなのです。

As we are the workers at Rekiseisha, each one of us are confident that we are the “creators.” Of course, we understand that we all have to become the specialists who are well-experienced with techniques to create this special paper by pressing the leaf. However, it is not so simple as just to focus on this paper creating process. Every one of us always use our imagination and explore to create something new. We are also passionate to collaborate with different materials or industries such as fashion and appliances. Since our average age is mid-30th, it brings the differences in the market. Although being proud of our Japanese sense of beauty and tradition which are outstanding in the world, we are still flexible and think outside the box. Rekiseisha was established 100 years ago, and one of our strengths is a positive attitude of challenging.
