羽田未来総合研究所が手がける、日本各地に眠っている優れた文化・技術を発掘し発信するプロジェクト「JAPAN MASTERY COLLECTION」。NTTアドとの協業により、リアル店舗とデジタル技術を融合させた実験的店舗がウィズ原宿にオープン。それが、「HARAJU Cross JAPAN MASTERY COLLECTION_est(ハラジュクロス・ジャパン マスタリー コレクション・エスト)」です。薬膳料理の「陰陽五行」の考え方を取り入れたカフェと、新進気鋭の日本の伝統工芸作家の作品、そして歴清社が制作する箔雑貨をはじめ、様々な商品を取り扱うセレクトショップを併設。日本の伝統から生まれる新しい価値を提案するショップとして、今大きな注目を集めています。その空間を彩るのが、歴清社の箔押し紙です。 錫箔を中心に、洋金箔でアクセントも演出。伝統的にして先進的。日本の伝統文化を新しい角度で発信するショップにふさわしい仕上がりとなりました。「五感全部で日本の美意識を感じていただきたいというお客様へのメッセージがある当店において、箔の演出はまさに効果的。豊かさ、贅沢さ、緊張感。そういった言葉にできない日本の魅力を的確に表現できたと感じています」(羽田未来総合研究所スタッフ)。“マスタリー”は熟練した、または精通したという意味。日本の美意識を世界に伝える作品の数々、そして新しい日本の文化を発信する新しいクリエイターのエネルギーにぜひ触れてみてください。

JAPAN MASTERY COLLECTION is a project which finds and delivers the obscure Japanese cultures by HANEDA FUTURE RESEARCH INSTITUTE.  Working with NTT ADVERTISING, INC., an experimental store that fuses a real store and a digital technique opened at WITH HARAJUKU.  It is “HARAJU Cross JAPAN MASTERY COLLECTION_est”.  There are both a cafe and a shop.  The cafe has a concept of yin and yang and five elements that comes from health food cuisine combined with medicinal herbs.  The shop sells the items created by up-and-coming artists in Japan and there are also metallic leaf goods from Rekiseisha.  JMC_est is now in the spotlight as a shop proposing a new value from Japanese tradition. Metallic leaf paper of Rekiseisha is installed there.  You can see pewter leaf paper and brass leaf paper. The space is created not only traditionally but also innovatively.  It is a suitable place that delivers Japanese traditional culture from a new angle. A staff of HANEDA FUTURE RESEARCH INSTITUTE says, “We would love our customers to feel the aesthetic sense of Japan with all five senses.  The performance of metallic leaf is totally effective.  The unspeakable charms of Japan such as wealth, luxury, and tension are accurately expressed.”“Mastery” means great knowledge about or understanding of a particular thing.  Through food, clothing, and shelter, there are many items or works which introduce the aesthetic sense of Japan to the world.  You can feel their energies of the new creators or artists who send the new types of Japanese culture.
